Lukasz Dziekonski

Lukasz Felicjan Dziekonski is currently an advisor to the European Parliament in the International Relations-Delegations unit. Mr Dziekonski is a founding member and the current chairmen of the Energy Security Institute in Warsaw and a founding member of the Forum for the Development of Economic Education (FREE), a leading market-oriented think tank in Poland and a member of the Stockholm Network of European market-oriented think tanks. He is currently the Deputy President of FREE. He is also an active member of the European Policy Centre (EPC), an associate member of the International Institute of Strategic Studies in London and an active member of the Polish Economic Business Association (PEBA) in London and the Polish City Club. He is a founding member of the Polish Club in Brussels and a member of its board. Prior to joining the European Parliament, Mr Dziekonski was at the Office of the Committee for European Integration in Warsaw.

Willem Prinselaar

Willem Prinselaar is a Dutch national having worked for 25 years with ICI in various places around the world. His last position at HQ level made him responsible for the group strategic planning group. Since leaving ICI he has been a non-executive with an operational consulting business active primarily in Europe and the USA and strongly focused on the energy sector. He has also held a number of non-executive positions around Europe. He co-founded Privast Capital Partners in 1999, a well known Venture Capital Fund specialising in early stage investments. He studied economics in the Netherlands and did his MBA degree at INSEAD, Fontainebleau (1971). He has held various functions within the INSEAD organisation as President of the International Alumni Association, as member of the Board and currently as member of the International Council. Mr. Prinselaar lives between Belgium and France and has five married children living on three continents.

Keith Smith

Keith Smith is currently a senior associate in the CSIS Energy and National Security Program. He retired from the U.S. Department of State in 2000, where his career focused primarily on European affairs. From 1997 to 2000, he was U.S. ambassador to Lithuania, with additional posts in Europe, including Hungary (twice), Norway, and Estonia. From 2000 to the present, Smith has been a consultant to several energy companies and has lectured on Russian-European energy issues in the United States, Poland, Belgium, Norway, United Kingdom, Germany, Czech Republic, Estonia, and Lithuania. He is frequently quoted in the international media. His most recent CSIS publications include "Russian Energy Pressure Fails to Unite Europe" (CSIS Euro-Focus, January 2007); "Current Implications of Russian Energy Policies" (CSIS Issue Brief, January 2006); and "Russian Energy Politics in the Baltics, Poland, and Ukraine" (CSIS Press, 2004).
